  1. I absolutely the love the Tab. You get the best bands in a smaller, more genuine setting and it has amazing acoustics. Not to mention the banging light shows.

  3. The tabernacle is awesome! They have a great variety of bands that come and play there and it usually is not too expensive. I hope that I get to go to more shows now that I live closer to it. Such a cool place!

  4. Ah! I went to Ben Folds last weekend at the Tabernacle and it was incredible. I was so close....it's such a great venue because it's so compact and easy to get the crowd to participate

  5. I went to a Ryan Cabrerra and The Veronicas concert there (don't make fun of me) and it was just a really intimate environment. I was so close to the stage and it was really nice to be that close to the performing artists. The sound quality was good, but I guess the actual venue isn't that nicely made.

  6. I saw Relient K back in the day and it was a really fun concert! The open standing area on the floor in front of the stage is a great atmosphere to meet fellow fans and dance to some good music!

  9. Here's a link to a concert that was recently held at the Tabernacle- http://www.nique.net/entertainment/2010/11/12/stevens-transcends-conventions/

I went an enjoyed it immensely. The Tabernacle was quite cohesive to the artist, Sufjan Stevens, and his genre of semi-electronic experimental indie rock. It was intimate yet still allowed for Stevens to produce a show worthy of the venue. He utilized choreographed digital media that complemented the visual imagery and designs on the Tabernacle walls.

I have also attended a number of other showings there and it is my favorite enclosed venue in Atlanta.

  10. Loved seeing Gov't Mule there three years ago. It has such rich history and I was glad to see the band honor that by playing a little bit of Southern Gospel! I'm always excited to make a trip to the Tabernacle.
